Northern Road Oval - Jordan Springs

Looks like the plans for this were submitted and we should be getting letters in the post soon about this one. The Jordan Springs sports oval. We will have a few weeks to think about it and submit any feedback for council consideration. What's your thoughts?

The oval consists of 42 car spaces on the land and then a  further 22 street parking spots. The field is a mod league field, this means it's smaller then senior fields.

The land consists of a new playground, sports oval and amenities which hosts toilets and a sports store and storage room. The landscaping is looking nice with some colourful tree's and running tracks.

The only issue I have with this is there are no basketball courts in this plan. I know they're planned to be near the school but it would have been nice to see one at the main oval so you could go hear and do a bit of everything. Run, kick a ball and shoot some hoops. Rather then walking to the next spot. Either way it's still good. I'm happy it provides a second park also for the kids. I wonder what happened to hill top park though.

Oh and when are we going to get some basketball courts! :)

Pizza Hut don't Like Jordan Springs so Ronnie's or Domino's get my Vote

Tried to order Pizza's from Pizza Hut for New Year's Eve, first I tried to do it online and guess what, they don't have the post code in their system. I tried and tried to set it up but it just wasn't going to work. So I thought fair enough, it's a new suburb that's possible that I may have to ring up. I gave them a call and the lady on the other end said she'd help me out.

I continued to tell her my address and then she asked me what was my closest store. I told her there was a store on the Northern Rd, at Cambridge Gardens and there should be no issues as it's a minute away. She put me on hold.

A few minutes passed and she came back to me. To my surprise her answer was simply....sorry Luke, Pizza Hut don't deliver to this area. I continued to tell her how ridiculously close the store was. She just said, sorry Pizza Hut only deliver to set areas and we weren't one of them. She told me if I wanted their Pizza's I would have to go and pick it up and then hung up on me. Hey Pizza Hut, your service sucks.

So I did the next best thing, I gave Domino's a call who are further away at Cambridge Park on 4729 8111 and they said they deliver, no problems. I've since discovered Ronnie's Pizza to do. (Keep in mind both have minimum spend of $20)

So if you're after some delivery you might want to know Domino's are your friends and Pizza Hut aren't. Looks like Pizza Hut are to big to worry about us.

Check out the Map, Pizza Hut by car is 1 minute.

Pizza Hut are the red dot
Domino's are the Orange Dot
Ronnie's is the Blue Dot.
